This is probably a stretch, but I'd like to think I can name all 50 states. What I'm definitely sure of, however, is that I wouldn't be able to tell you where all of those states are on a map. For instance, New Hampshire. All of those small states just blur together for me and the southern states all seem to be the same shape and size. But then I came across
Statetris, a tetris-like came that challenges you to drop all the states according to geographic location into this U.S. outline. There are three levels: easy, medium, and hard. Click on the link above and try it out. And let's be honest, we should all be able to do the "hard" level.
It's embarassing, but I'll come out and say it. It took me about 10 tries to place Kansas (on the medium level). You have to be really accurate, but its a little riduculus when I ended up placing it by luck...
ReplyDeleteDoes it say something that I couldn't figure out how to rotate or place any of the states with my mouse OR keyboard? Troubling...
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to lie I was getting pretty damn annoyed at how long it took me to get idaho lined up just right. Great concept but they should have built in a little more flexibility with the state placement.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link!
seriously...why do we need Rhode Island??? Either I need glasses or there really is no right side up for that teeny tiny little speck of a state!!
