Food therapy

As mentioned in my previous post, I started this past weekend with some disappointing news just one week after picking up my cap and gown. It was a low-blow, USF, telling me such devastating information on a Friday without any detail as to what went wrong or what I can do to fix it.

So what better way to pacify my sorrows but with food from the talented chefs of San Francisco. Sean and I had two good friends in town, Heidi and Nate, who welcomed my "need to feed" and supported me by joining in my feasting without reservation. We started with Hungarian sausages followed closely by Nuremberg sausages, washed down by a Hunter's Point Porter and some Bitburger-wannabe. The next day was spent snacking on fresh fruit, bread, and cheese from the Farmer's market, then on to New Mexican blue-corn enchiladas, finishing off the day's palette with family-style Eritrean food. Prior to their departure today, we took Heidi and Nate to dim-sum, a personal favorite, for more family-style dining.

My belly and my self-pity thanks you, San Francisco. You really know how to pick a girl up when she's down.

Yes...a full tummy feels good. And food is a good companion. No wonder I was so chubby the first 24 years of my life =).
